Nuno Rodrigues
Designer
Nuno is a Portuguese Architect who began his career participating in landscape projects for educational buildings and construction drawings for single-family houses in Porto, Portugal. After a couple of years of joy and enthusiasm, he became a licensed architect there. In 2012, he moved to Fribourg, a bi-lingual town in Switzerland where he worked for 5 years on residential, commercial, and senior living projects. The artistic-oriented formation in Portugal and Spain combined with the technical expertise learned in Switzerland originated a need for emancipation. So he established a partnership with his best friend and they founded their own architecture studio focused on housing projects around Portugal and France. In 2022, Nuno moved to California and joined Studio Current, where he has been practicing his love for block-size projects, connecting private buildings with public dynamics, and human-scale spaces with urban challenges around San Jose. Sunlight and people are the most important things in his conceptual drawings. He believes that Architecture must serve its users, and the best way to do good architecture is by living, experiencing, sharing, and enjoying all moments.
